The tests have been done, employees grilled and the results are in—Facebook has been named the number one tech company to work for in 2012. But this result is hardly surprising, after all, Facebook is run by a t-shirt wearing, fresh-faced man called ‘Zuck’ and if that isn’t enough to make you wanna get a job at Facebook, nothing will.

Facebook achievement isn’t half bad considering that the results are based on a 50 company test. The employee satisfaction survey was conducted by Glassdoors and presented in its annual Employees Choice Award. Employees at Facebook rated their experience of working at the social networking giant as 4.5 out of 5, on average, and gave it the slot as number one among tech companies.

But it’s important to note though that Facebook wasn’t the number one ranked company to work for. That honor went to Bain & Company, followed by McKinsey & Company—both are consulting firms.

Still, I am sure Zuck and co will be delighted with the rating; it can only help boost morale and smooth the path for the company’s planned IPO in 2012. Any result in the top 50 would have been good enough for this purpose, I suppose.
