Answer.com Domain Name Sells For $550,000

Businesses and people that are involved in the domain name selling business are making some money to say the least! Certain domain names sell for huge amounts of money and even ones that are on the lower end can bring in thousands of dollars which is nothing to blink at. Domain names are an important and smart investment for people, companies, businesses, etc who are looking to move their product or company online. This allows for more advertising and the potential to bring in new clients and customers. Choosing a good domain name that fits the company or product or service involved, that is appealing to customers, and easy to remember or unique, is also an important factor when purchasing or looking into domain names.

Moniker Premium recently had their end of the year auction, selling 13 domain names told. Answers.com recently sold for $550,000 at the Moniker Premium Year End Auction at the highest price, which isn’t surprising since it sounds like it could be used for various things, such as a search engine type company.

Here’s a quote about the results of the auction:

“The auction resulted in a total of $769,876 in sales giving an average sale price of $59,221 which is not too shabby. That being said Answer.com did buoy this number a bit, if we remove this the average comes down to $18,323 which is a bit more realistic and still not too shabby!”
