The death of Steve Jobs left many experts pondering the future of Apple. Many wondered if the company could sustain itself going forward.

Many fail to acknowledge that for few short weeks in the month of August; Apple was on course to become the world’s biggest tech company by market cap. It didn’t reach that milestone, but the fact it was in the running suggests that Apple’s overall numbers and standing is fundamentally sound.
Of course, much of this growth was managed under Jobs, and with him gone, the next few years will be quite telling. Will Apple sustain this level of growth? Only time will tell. There are lots of factors influencing growth in the PC market globally and while many would see Microsoft as that one defining factor, the threat of emerging technologies (Tablets for instance) pose a greater barrier to market share sustainability.
